When setting the new prices, MMA has taken into account the potential removal of the tax deductibility of membership fees. The goal is to ensure that membership remains meaningful and valuable at every stage of a member’s career.
– Whenever we make changes, we carefully consider the needs of our members so that everyone can get value from their membership in a way that fits their life situation, says MMA Chair Marko Hovinmäki.
Special attention has been given to sales and marketing professionals in the early stages of their careers.
– We want to ensure that young salespeople and marketers get a strong start in their careers, which is why membership fees for young members are now half the regular price. At the same time, we are not forgetting our more experienced members, as we are also reducing the fee for employed members over 30, Hovinmäki emphasizes.
Employed members and students who work alongside their studies may also join the KOKO unemployment fund if they wish. The fund’s membership fee will increase by six euros to 69 euros per year (5.75 €/month) in 2026. Although the fund fee is rising, the overall cost for members will remain affordable thanks to MMA’s membership fee reductions. Read more about KOKO’s 2026 fee at kokokassa.fi.
Updated Service Package for Students
From 2026 onward, MMA’s student membership will be completely free of charge. As part of the pricing reform, the services included in student membership are being updated.
– We want our membership to be meaningful already during studies. We will focus particularly on supporting students’ working-life readiness and providing services they need while studying, Hovinmäki explains.
Starting January 2026, student members will continue to have access to career coaching, salary advice, an extensive range of training opportunities, as well as valuable banking benefits and Member+ benefits. The only change is that legal services (legal advice and legal protection) will no longer be included in student membership.
– If one of our lawyers has begun handling a student member’s case during the current year, it will of course be completed. Students who are studying full-time may also choose to switch to employed-member status, pay the membership fee and thereby access our full service package even if they are not currently employed, Hovinmäki adds.
The services and benefits for employed members, entrepreneurs and retired members will remain unchanged.
